A man who has had a huge bump on his head for 30 years is finally getting it removed.<\/p>\n

57-year-old Clyde was left with the lump two years after being struck by a cricket ball at close range.<\/p>\n

Talking about his injury in a new episode of The Bad Skin Clinic<\/a>, he says: \u2018It\u2019s quite an unusual thing. I know it\u2019s not going to go away. Sometimes I\u2019ve laid in bed and just thought, \u201cWhy have I got this?\u201d\u2018<\/p>\n

\u2018Plus my dog, she wakes me up in the morning and is licking the lump on my head. I say, \u201cCheers Bonnie, you\u2019re reminding me the lump\u2019s there,\u201d he laughs.<\/p>\n

After becoming self-conscious over the lump as the years have progressed, he\u2019s now visiting consultant Dr Emma Craythorne<\/a> to have it removed.<\/p>\n

Joined by his wife Caroline, Clyde arrives at his appointment and explains how the lump on his head actually appeared two years after the cricket ball injury.<\/p>\n

\u2018It is a bit of a bump, isn\u2019t it?\u2019 he says.<\/p>\n

Having already visited Turkey to try and have the lump removed, Clyde is now seeking further help.<\/p>\n

\u2018I\u2019m in this hospital and they tried to remove it, but unfortunately they couldn\u2019t do it. I came home with a scar and a lump,\u2019 he recalls.<\/p>\n

\u2018I\u2019ve never known Clyde without it,\u2019 Caroline adds. \u2018He had it when we met, but I have noticed over the last few years Clyde\u2019s got more conscious about it.\u2019<\/p>\n

Dr Emma identifies the bump as a lipoma, a benign tumour made of fatty tissue, that can feel soft and squishy.<\/p>\n

\u2018The only way to get rid of this is to have it surgically removed,\u2019 she explains, saying she plans on \u2018popping it out\u2019 and leaving \u2018a nice flat area\u2019.<\/p>\n

Clyde\u2019s lipoma has a further complication however, after the failed previous work from Turkey.<\/p>\n

After making an incision in line with the one from the previous attempt, Dr Emma \u2018eases\u2019 the lipoma out of Clyde\u2019s scalp, saying: \u2018Alright, let\u2019s see if we can squeeze it out. Sorry for the pressing Clyde\u2026 there it is.\u2019<\/p>\n

She also identifies another, smaller piece of lipoma that was trapped behind scar tissue, created by Clyde\u2019s previous surgery in Turkey.<\/p>\n

As she removes the second piece of fatty tissue from his head, Clyde \u2013 who is awake during the surgery \u2013 hilariously shouts out: \u2018Yabba dabba doo!\u2019<\/p>\n

After his forehead is stitched back up and he sees his new face for the first time, he\u2019s left choking back tears.<\/p>\n

\u2018Oh my god! I\u2019m speechless\u2026 It\u2019s round!\u2019 he declares, while Dr Emma praises his \u2018perfect\u2019 skull shape.<\/p>\n

\u2018Caroline isn\u2019t going to recognise me. It\u2019s going to totally change the way I feel about myself,\u2019 an emotional Clyde adds.<\/p>\n

When she walks in, Caroline says: \u2018Oh my god, you look so different! Your face, you look so happy.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018I do, I feel a million dollars,\u2019 Clyde replies, joking: \u2018So what shall we do tonight the, take a few selfies?\u2019<\/p>\n
