Ouch! Olivia Rodrigo<\/a> had fans gasping in fright during a live show on Sunday night after tripping and falling while performing to a sell-out crowd.<\/p>\n

The Good 4 U hitmaker, 21, who initially got her big break as part of the Disney<\/a> Plus High School Musical TV series, was on stage in Australia<\/a> when the incident happened.<\/p>\n

She might have topped the charts three times in the UK<\/a>, but that feat sadly hasn\u2019t given her the ability to see in the dark \u2013 as her biggest fans found out in Melbourne on Sunday.<\/p>\n

During a segment that saw Olivia address the crowd, footage taken from inside the Rod Laver Arena by X user baxterhumeniuk<\/a> showed her running across the stage from side to side with only a spotlight to guide her.<\/p>\n

But what she didn\u2019t notice in the almost pitch-black venue was a gaping hole in the floor next to her, which she promptly fell into while addressing concertgoers in the New South Wales city.<\/p>\n

The moment she unexpectedly fell beneath the floorboards, the crowd gasped in horror as thousands of them wondered in a panic whether Olivia would be alright.<\/p>\n

Thankfully, the Vampire singer \u2013 who managed to grab onto a ledge to stop herself from falling further \u2013 got back to her feet laughing, shouting and giggling into the microphone that she was alright after all.<\/p>\n

She exclaimed: \u2018Oh my god! That was fun! I\u2019m okay! Woah! Sometimes there\u2019s just a hole in the stage, but that\u2019s alright\u2026 Okay, where was I? How are you doing tonight, Melbourne?!\u2019<\/p>\n

Acting like a true professional, the Drivers License singer-songwriter carried on with the rest of the gig like nothing had happened, delighting the 14,000-strong crowd.<\/p>\n

In the wake of the accident, fans online are calling for someone to take responsibility for the error that led to the trap door being unexpectedly open, causing the superstar to fall. <\/p>\n

On X, @FromtheVault said: \u2018She\u2019s definitely fine, lol, but I don\u2019t know why there\u2019s just an open hole \u2013 that could\u2019ve been way worse.\u2019<\/p>\n

Other fans also noted that the incident mirrored the lyrics of Olivia\u2019s song Ballad of a Homeschooled Girl, which features the following line: \u2018I broke a glass, I tripped and fell, I told secrets I shouldn\u2019t tell.\u2019<\/p>\n

Many fans wanted to know how and why a hole could suddenly appear on stage amid a performance. X user @cNFTfART wrote: \u2018But like, the hole DEFINITELY wasn\u2019t there when she first ran across the stage\u2026 what happened??\u2019<\/p>\n
